Healing Through the Arts
The story of Austin's Art Alliance began with a career ending injury for the founder, MT Austin. A life long tradesman, MT had always been an entrepreneur and owned his own business for 30 years. In the blink of an eye, his journey took a left turn. Dealing with chronic, debilitating pain, MT's wife suggested he look for non-pharmacologic ways to cope with his injury and improve his moods. As MT searched for ways to ease his burden, he stumbled across the videos of Bob Ross. MT realized, with every stroke of the brush and every happy little accident, his pain was lessened. MT was hooked.
